Such an original and effective way of exploring post ‘45 British (and Commonwealth) history. As a New Zealand listener I can recognise many of these themes and echoes. Am thrilled there’s a 3rd season on the way! Another Podcasters’ gem!

I'd no idea there was another series until someone on OGWN mentioned it so I'm now binge listening. These are insightful and interesting. I love Roz's (apologies if spelled incorrectly) style. Thank you!Read full review »

A novel approach to launch discussion on post-war history, always meticulously researched and written by the excellent Ros Taylor. Makes me feel much better informed and intelligent than I’ve any right to feel. More please!

I love Jam Tomorrow; Ros, you present it so well, and I have learned so much, it’s a fascinating, balanced and really enjoyable listen. Long may it last.

Great news about the special episodes to tide us over until series 2. This is such a thoughtful, well balanced (in all senses), interesting look at post-war history and current concerns. The I.D cards episode was incredibly interesting and timely, bringing a few new takes by looking backwards...Read full review »

A really fascinating listen on the promises of the postwar years and how they went unfulfilled. Ros Taylor is an exceptional, well-researched presenter and she really dives deep here. A brilliant and enjoyable series.

A wonderful series which critically examines the foundations of the modern British state. It provides well researched thematic history of those formative years alongside myth busting of nostalgia. A great listen which is definitely helped by the great soundtrack and Roz’s smooth voice!

This is an excellent series by Ros Taylor. The episodes are well written and beautifully narrated. The public service announcements from the archives set the tone well. It’s an evocative social history spanning my early childhood through to the present day. It’s sad to see the post war idealism, ...Read full review »

I’m enjoying your podcast and was delighted that you were clear about the private nature of the GP contract. I feel however that you need to reflect that Health is a devolved matter ( and perhaps other issues you've yet to report on ) to be clear that the figure and management you have...Read full review »

Enjoyed this look at Britain’s ongoing WW2 nostalgia habit. Good contributions from historians that puts Brit’s view of WW2 into a more balanced context. Good point about German anglophilia, hadn’t thought about that.

Very informative and timely series puncturing several myths of World War Two and highlighting how these have had such an impact on our postwar attitudes and development and particularly recently towards Brexit. Looking forward to more.

Fantastic work Ros! Should be on the national curriculum.

This podcast casts a very interesting alternative narrative for the “keep calm and carry on” and the “blitz spirit”. The archive data of public opinion is very interesting as well but I absolutely hate the way it is presented in a crappily sounding archive voice. It is very distracting....Read full review »

Excellent. Clearly an approach to a topic that was asking to be addressed. Well executed and works around the complexity. Thank you.

Fascinating podcast from the brilliant Rod Taylor. The British are obsessed with the Second World War. This podcast starts by debunking some of the myths that have arisen and are used to manipulate people

I have just listened to the first episode and learned so much! It drew so many strings together re. the war and our collective memory. Things I had read about in the past but never linked together to make a coherent history. Ros is a brilliant presenter too. I’m looking forward to the next episode!
