E024: Jen Edds - Blue Belt
Listen now
Description
Jen is co-host of Beauty and The Gi Podcast, and a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and based in Indianapolis. She started training Jiu Jitsu at the age of 47 after meeting coach, AJ Clingerman at a speakers event. Jen is a seasoned podcaster, who heard a gap in the market for something more from a female perspective in wrestling/martial arts.   We discover what we can now do with our bodies in our 40's, training Jiu Jitsu and discovering our ability to be more physical. Taking up opportunities to train and even compete is so important for mental and physical health, even when some of us seem to beat ourselves up worse than sparring with a Black Belt!   Topics: Jiu Jitsu PodcastsPodcastingStarting Jiu Jitsu in your 40'sBeauty and The Gi PodcastThinking Jiu JitsuMenopauseWomen's CampsCompeting downFriends around The WorldReflections from a CoachKeep showing up  Jen on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brassybroadjen/ Beauty and The Gi Podcast: https://www.instagram.com/beautyandthegipodcast/   Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@JiuJitsuLou   Come and be a part of the show: https://jiujitsulou.com/be-a-podcast-guest/   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jiu.jitsu.lou Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jiujitsuloupodcast JIU JITSU LOU Merchandise AVAILABLE NOW : https://jiujitsulou.com/shop   PRODUCTION CREDIT: Kerr Mathieson of Audio Outsource MUSIC CREDIT: ARTIST: Maleki Ram | TRACK: Just A Little Boy   This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
