This guy is the real deal. Check out his google scholar page, 1000s of citations on machine learning books/articles dating back to the 80s. He is patient and extremely thoughtful in his presentation of this very relevant material. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this podcast. This is when of the...Read full review »

I’m considering having my kids listen to these episodes. The machine learning facts are presented in a really accessible way, I think.

I've just finished listening to the first podcast in this series and reviewing some of the material on the LM-101 website. If future podcasts and the associated subject material are as good as what I've heard and seen so far then I am very much looking forward to learning about AI via...Read full review »

This podcast goes into greater depth than many others, covering basic and advanced topics in some detail. Early episodes cover the basics, and later episodes deal with advanced concepts. This is great for strengthening your conceptual understanding in AI and machine learning.

Learning Machines 101 is a « small jewel » which I listen to carefully while I'm on public transit. The host, Dr Richard Golden, is a passionated pioneer in the AI field with a great radio voice. Dr Golden is not afraid to go in depth with always a desire to be informative, at the risk sometimes...Read full review »

Dr Golden has very clear and logical explanations for this very interesting subject. I actually found this podcast a couple years ago, but it didn't stick at the time. I became more interested in AI and machine learning over the past few months, and I am now working through the episodes from...Read full review »

If you can get past the 80s disco music, the phone-quality audio, the 3-minute long intro at every episode, the total lack of spontaneity, THEN this podcast is awesome.

I have listend to the podcast for a few months, starting with the first episode. It is a great basic introduction. I have really enjoyed the deep learning episodes, and my favorite episode was the most recent episode on the Kernel Trick. This was always hard for me to grasp in my classes, but...Read full review »

This is a great podcast for those who love statistics and machine learning. While most of the podcasts in this area focus on interviews and news, what I love about this one is that it delivers the basics of machine learning in a succinct way. I'm impressed by how well this podcast explains complex subjects without visual aids. The pacing is really perfect for me as someone that is interested in machine learning but has not done much any machine learning development.

I listen to this podcast on my commute to work, and I've listened to about 25 or so podcasts so far. There's a good balance of breadth and depth on a variety of machine learning topics. I recommend trying this podcast out if you're interested in AI, machine learning, or data science.Read full review »

This is a great way to get introduced to the topic, though to learn more deeply one needs to have a book or computer, not just an audio podcast. I recommend shortening the intro-material dramatically. Another great podcast is Talking Machines, but that has more technical content which may be too...Read full review »

Audio alone is not sufficient to really learn this material, but this podcast offers about as much as one could hope for. concepts. some of the examples a little too geeky (especially the first episode), but generally a wonderfully clear, fun, interesting and enjoyable podcast, gradually developing and explaining some pretty abstract ideas and methods

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about AI. The podcast outlines the concepts and mechanisms used in learning machines. And also details the history behind the ideas. Cheers

There aren't any/many podcasts about AI or machine learning. So this is a good place to start. It's pretty good slow pace and covers concepts well. But please get rid of that annoying music at start and end of podcast. I am only 5 podcasts in so maybe the music will be gone by the time I catch up!
