“I have been listening to this podcast for years and have usually been able to take something away from each episode. I have found that in the last few months, the episodes are increasing conspiratorial, tense, contain a great deal of “bragging”, and lean heavily on ads. The hosts do their best to weave the ads into general conversation; however, it is simply not authentic and illustrates that these discussions and segues are scripted.
Further, while I find Justin to present himself in a natural and engaging manner as he appears to be an active listener and speaks only when he has something of note to add, I find that Sal and particularly Adam, come across as somewhat insufferable in their need to incessantly talk overtop of each other, argue, and not listen. Adam’s need to repeatedly talk about how rich he is does him no favours. The listeners don’t care how much money or cars you have. He presents as narcissistic, controlling, and aggressive, which is off-putting.
I think it’s time for the guys to take a step back and consider their audience and whether what they’re saying is helpful to us. There are tons of other podcasts out there. Also, I have to point out that Doug is an absolute gem. Guys - look to your elder for wisdom (no offence Doug!) and practice some gratitude.
Please know that I mean no disrespect with this review. Again, I have loved and listened to this podcast for years and I hope to continue!
P.S. I feel the need to say here that despite my name, I have not been vegan for years!”
