A wealth of information and some laugh-out-loud moments
I listen to MindPump when I’m working out. It’s motivating and often full of useful information about fitness and workouts, though sometimes it can be tedious. (Sorry, but I am not interested in Adam’s “feeding” schedule or when his muscle bellies are full or depleted or how many carbs he eats or pretty much anything else having to do with his competitions. And when he goes on and on AND ON about himself, and I’m reminded of the time I tried to read Lord of the Rings and gave up when the description of breakfast went on for four pages, I just have to hit fast-forward.) When Sal and Justin get to talk more, the shows are great and often hilarious. I love when one of the guys says something funny, and you hear Doug cracking up in the background. The interviews are also very entertaining and informative, at least when Adam isn’t hitting on the female guests and doesn’t use his questions as a springboard to talk about himself. (If you don’t know what I mean, just listen to the beginning of the one where they interviewed the doctor.) This podcast is great, and it could be awesome if Adam would dial it back.

As a workout beginner this show has taught me so much. Not only do they give you the truth about fitness that body building magazines won't, but it also shows you it isn't weird to get French tips or stand around a room nude with ten other dudes.Read full review »

I love how it feels like I’m just a fly on the wall listening to a bunch of hot dudes talk about health & fitness because that’s pretty much exactly what it is. While I did get a lil butthurt at first when they bashed the IIFYM “movement", I felt like I walked away from that episode...Read full review »
