Today's topic will be about diabetes and monitoring of diabetes with hemoglobin A1c as well as special tests. Ryan a PA student at South University will be discussing hemoglobin A1c monitoring and will also be discussing the prescription medication metformin. Furthermore, we will be also discussing special tests needed for diabetic care. Some of these tests include diabetic retinopathy screening and regular foot checks.

Diabetic diets are very complicated. We often have some very polarizing information regarding which is the best diet. This topic will break down some of the barriers to understanding some of the simple foods that we can eat and what are the foods that we should avoid in diabetes.
