Fascinating
A fascinating podcast, whose range of subjects extends far beyond the Ottoman Empire, consistently presented in an engaging way to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. If I were to make a minor criticism, I am not so much a fan of the 'narrated' episode style that has recently become the norm on the podcast, nor of the 'postmodern' recording style favoured over the formal introduction of a scholar before the interview proper. I hope the editors will consider returning to the classical podcast format (of a straight one-to-one conversation between interviewee and host without narration or excess editing) that had been favoured until recently.Read full review »
