Hosts hated hard on one of my fave plants
Thought this podcast was pretty good until I listened to the episode on tradescantias. They kept insulting it and downgrading its value, because it’s not one of those rare exotic plants and everyone can grow them. Well, for beginner plant parents like myself, I was deeply offended because tradescantias really reignited my love for plants. An ex called me a black thumb and one of the plants that helped me prove him wrong is tradescantias. Sure, it may be a low bar but it nonetheless has a sentimental value for me. Still, WHY EVEN TALK ABOUT THEM IF YOU HATE THEM SO MUCH? I feel like them insulting tradescantias is essentially insulting working class plant parents who can’t afford 50-dollar plants and up. For a show that markets itself on intersectionality, that’s pure hypocrisy. Soooo I’m tuning out now and never recommending to a friend again. They sounded so pompous and pretentious, that they’re above all other plant parents for not wanting tradescantias. 🙄🙄🙄

They are incredibly knowledgeable, never talk down to their listeners. I listen from London and am bowled over by how articulate and fluent they are - no verbal tics,...Read full review »
