Difficult to stick with this one. Harsh Jersey girl radio voice layered with ridiculous commercials. Going for a good audiobook on this topic if I find I care enough.

Rehashing of known facts attempting to inject mystery to hide the lack of material.

This podcast is SO interesting and the stories are wild, however there are an obscene amount of adverts and lots of repetition - each episode could probably be condensed into about 20 mins

Ridiculous amount of repetitive adverts. Seems to be a lot of conjecture too unfortunately.

I don’t expect a story about the Maxwells to be purely based on evidence and balanced descriptions, but I’m not interested in pure gossip either. And this is purely gossip. The narrator puts forward numerous claims about Robert Maxwell, some of which are hard to believe and clearly in...Read full review »

The podcast provides an interesting insight into the Maxwells. I found it really interesting but there were too many ads interrupting the podcast.

Did I mention this was boring?
Bullshiiiiiiiii via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/26/21
While those close to the Maxwells speak of the frisson of knowing them, the media pals covering the story seemed bored. Also, professional journalists pronounce the "t" in mountain. I expected less claptrap for such a serious and scandalous story. Also, the talk of conspiracy theories...Read full review »

Great insight into the world of the Maxwell’s by people who really knew them.
abananaban via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/04/21
An interesting couple of interviews showing insight to Robert Maxwell and New York high society but never scratches more than the surface of the Robert Maxwell story. Disappointing wrap up episode is just a rap session with a friend.

Super interesting to learn how incredibly toxic the Maxwells really were, explores an area of the story that isn't delved into the way Epstein has been over and over. Loved the way it was done and binged the whole thing! No idea where the people in the reviews are coming from in regards to...Read full review »

I Agee with interesting stories... this started out with so much promise… Really interesting & factual information (as I listen to a podcast I am constantly going to the Internet to find out more and more facts). As a Maxwell I am thankful to find out we are not related! But as it went on...Read full review »

It’s a little challenging to listen to because there is no differentiation between an advert and the story. The voice is the same throughout, and the music also. There’s also more advertising than other podcasts, which makes it so frustrating as the voice doesn’t change for content vs...Read full review »

Once you started interjecting your political opinion which had no relevance on the topic you destroyed all credibility I had in you and your previous episodes. You exposed your self as yet just another liberal journalist with a pen and paper. If I want politics I’ll listen to a political podcast....Read full review »

I thought this podcast was pretty good and well presented. I agree with some of the reviews, that some of the information is a bit repetitive. However I do not understand all the hate for the podcaster voice. I honestly feel they are exaggerating and I look forward to hearing more from her in the...Read full review »

Enjoyed the story & appreciated all research & time that went into making the podcast. Held my attention & would of ranked it higher until they started projecting their political views towards Trumph.

A remarkable story about that shows us the underlings of human psychology at its darkest and most manipulative. This podcast was so captivating and intriguing I couldn’t stop listening in utter disbelief.

Interesting and intriguing story but these two have to interject their politics into the story. Unfortunate because just “telling” the story has potential. I truly don’t care about their political opinions.

Great start to the story, but then fades out in the last two episodes. Not a lot of information in the last two episodes. Tara could also try to be more professional & refrain from bringing up her personal distain for Trump on multiple occasions in the story. Move on from that & stick...Read full review »

Choppy, disjointed with an agenda to make him more of a charlatan rather than a dangerous spy for Israel and to think other wise is antisemitic.nothing to see here

Please pronounce your T’s. I enjoyed listening to each episode but that was very distracting. I not sure why you did that?
Lestoey via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/13/21
The so-called reputable journalist/narrator’s voice is so grating and the fact that she drops her “t’s”, as in Bri-in (Britain), Manha-en (Manhattan), and pronouncing S’s with SH’s, as in schtrong (strong) schtreamed, Auschtrailia, well you get it by now, is appalling and beyond irritating. My husband worked for Maxwell MacMillan in the 90’s. So, my interest was peaked. Does not deserve the negative reviews. I feel as if I am chatting with a friend over coffee. Keep writing.

Was looking forward to hearing this story. The presentation was okay. Some of the so call facts and opinions are questionable as it appears the research is bias. When this podcast was chosen, I wasn’t interested in political opinions. Disappointed.

If you didn’t interject your politics and opinions of Trump, I would’ve rated you 3 stars. If you would have been edgy and risky with the information, like telling the whole truth and not covering anything up, I would’ve rated you 5 stars. It appears that the 1 stars have an agenda. Simply a good, interesting story, told well by the podcaster with good sources and background. Happy I ignored the people with some kind of agenda and just gave it a listen.

I’m going to go back to the day when reporters reported the facts. Not facts as they see them but truly the facts as they know to be true. I’m just getting tired of hearing references to Donald Trump as innuendo. There’s no fact there. If there was you would report it. Just stick to the story. I...Read full review »

Good talks but try the speakers present their opinions, Which are very one sided , as facts. It takes away from the credibility of what appears to be a good presentation.

Meh
This could have been good. An interesting story told in an uninteresting way. There are lots of words in this story but despite that, the series manages to say nothing.
