Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
Dear Dr. Puder, thank you for your calm and kind, humane, humble and respectful attitude towards people with so called mental health issues. I listen to your podcast with gratitude and awe - being myself a longtime patient with a history of various diagnosis and recurring hospitalizations (originally coming from Poland I am currently -at last-being treated for complex PTSD in Germany, where I have found support of some marvelous psychiatrists, psychotherapists and nurses). I have learned to appreciate the kind and humane approach towards patients as a sign of highest professionalism in the medical staff. 'Cause what is even the profoundest professional knowledge and adept skill worth without deep wisdom about the conditio humana, without understanding, how each and every one of us partakes in the same journey, which none of us can complete without support, solely on their own... Thank you, Dr. Puder, for engaging yourself on behalf of the patients, as opposed to simply "treating" them - as many "alienists" to this day tend to do... The warmth and kindness get transported thousands of kilometers away, sometimes through most surprising of mediums - like this podcast. With best regards, Mia Elisabeth CharzyńskaRead full review »
