Phenomenal Resonation
I have been following IPE articles for a good 2 years since I began my own personal transformation at aged 19 for my health, mind and body with regards to food and nutrition. Throughout this journey I have been on a roller coaster of different emotions and mindsets which have involved self-sabotage, secret eating and going from both extremes of super healthy to unhealthy. In podcast 2 I felt a phenomenal resonance with Gracie when she spoke of her story (aside from the marriage!), especially because I have also been with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Although it has been an amazing vehicle for self-discovery for my health, I too felt there was a slight lack in the psychological support for transformation with our relationships with food. I also found that because we are both in the Health & Wellness field, we are highly susceptible to perfectionism. I find it extremely easy to get into this mindset and I believe that is because there is a pressure we put on ourselves as well as what others expect of us. Almost as if we need to be a perfect version of ourselves in order to help others. These feelings of inadequacy are challenging, but when I listened to this podcast I really had to look at myself and realise that it's okay to feel this way because our personal journey is all about being able to discover what works for us through all our trials and errors. I really enjoyed the real-time format of this podcast and it was extremely refreshing for me personally to listen to the perspective from both another IIN student and someone in their early 20's (I am 21 myself). I feel very privileged to have come across IPE to be able to gain new knowledge, fresh perspectives and to feel the compassion from both Marc and Emily to help transform ourselves and our relationships with food. I would like to give a major congratulations for beginning this podcast and I am earnestly looking forward to listening to more content on the way! Thank you!Read full review »

I've struggled with food for my entire life and done so much soul searching - I felt like I completely understood all of the reasons that I ate. I just kept doing it - I'm almost giddy at the thought that this process is precisely what I've been looking for in order to give me the...Read full review »
