This makes me think every week and brings me new and different ideas. It has changed the way I look at the bible and faith and brought me to a closer relationship with God and my own queer family.

I’m beyond disgusted that my Catholic Church promoted this podcast. The LGBTQ community is an abomination and there should be no place for gay theologians in the Church. To have these people mislead others is horrendous. This is definitely proof of the devil is sheep’s clothing.

I came to learn about Christian LGBTQ perspectives, but I keep coming back to learn about this amazing book, the Bible, and how it tells us about this radically loving Jesus and what it means to follow Him. Thanks.

If god didn’t want us to be queer he wouldn’t MAKE US QUEER. Also, god makes everybody in its image, which means GOD IS QUEER. And also, if you think homosexuality is a sin because of some wrong translations of the Leviticus, then you should also think that eating shrimp and cutting your hair is...Read full review »

I discovered this podcast a while ago while coming to terms with my identities and faith. Brian and Fr. Kearns along with some of there guests have pulled me out of some dark places and helped me learn to love and truly accept myself.

An excellent podcast for those interested in integrating their Christian faith with their sexuality or gender. Wish it had been around when I was really struggling to figure out how my faith and queerness could coexist, much less enhance each other.

The Bible says multiple times that man and a man and a woman and a woman is an abomination and a sin in Gods eyes. To make this okay as well as letting young Christian’s think that it is ok also makes you sin in front of God. Matthew 18:6, Leviticus 20:13, 18:22, 1 Corinthians 6:9, and Romans...Read full review »

I’m straight, cisgender graduate of an evangelical seminary and find this podcast a breath of fresh air after choosing to leave evangelicalism. This is one of the few Bible podcasts (that’s not for an academic audience) that I can listen to without shame and feeling that God still loves me.

I don’t come from a tradition that is affirming but for Pride month I wanted to learn more about the queer experience of Christians and subscribed. I’m so glad I did! Lots to consider in these thoughtful conversations.

I’ve been listening to queer theology for years now, and it’s about time I give them their due with a podcast review 😅 This is a show that has really helped me to broaden my perspective on topics of trans identity & polyamory, as well as reconcile with my own bisexuality & Christian...Read full review »

Hugely encouraging and inspiring podcast celebrating queerness and faith from a Christian perspective. Wastes no time in debating whether queer Christians have a right to exist in the church, and focuses instead on how a queer perspective can inspire and transform the lives, not only of LGBTQ+...Read full review »

I found Queertheolgy when a friend of mine shared one of their Instagram posts. I was seeking, which I later learned was the start of my deconstruction from my evangelical faith. I love that Shay and Brian root their podcasts in historical fact (I’m a geek like Shay with reading and learning!)...Read full review »

It has been so life giving to know that queerness and Christianity can not only co exist, but also enrich one another. You don’t have to choose between your identity and your faith. Thank you for this podcast!

This interview was AMAZING! So grateful for her work and passion in teaching Old and New Testament to Christians as a Jewish scholar. I’ll be listening to it again. Wonderful kick off to the month of May interviews with Jewish scholars.

This episode was eye-opening and informative. The Jewish perspective on the New Testament is a new and intriguing idea for me. Thank you, Dr. Levine and Queer Theology!

Each person engages scripture and history from within a community, even if they think they’re doing it alone or without interpretation. This podcast is an exercise of spiritual disciple of applying scripture, traditions, and reason faithfully to our everyday lives and analysis of our present selves.

I have been listening to this podcast for a while now and I’m so glad I found it! Listening to you two while I work is very common for me. It gives me something to think about while I’m working to pass time by, but in a very fun way! These two cover such high concerned topics while talking about Christianity and how all can be religious, and in their own ways!

In the episode “What is our salvation?” One of the podcasters used the “s” word and then in the same breath encouraged apostasy from the faith? What is this?
