Very Informative!
I chose to watch the Parent Child Interaction episode. I really enjoyed listening to the speakers talk about the importance of a child being able to associate their parents with fun and positive experiences in order for them to truly enjoy each other. Allowing a child to have that time to control the situation and use their own discernment is necessary for them to become self-sufficient individuals. This time also gives parents the ability to observe how their child makes decisions and uses their self agency, which could earn the child more independence. The 5 minute child led exercise discussed by Dr. Lieneman seems like a great learning experience for children and parents as well, and I would consider this method if I had children.

As someone who works with children, listening to this podcast really benefited me in many ways on how to handle disruptive behaviors. When it comes to the timeout strategy, not only is important for children to face some consequences but it’s more important for them to also understand them.
