#30 – This Should Piss Some People Off — Food, Body and Patriarchy

Description
This episode turned into a bit of a rant (in the best possible way). I'm tired of people believing that they are lazy and lack willpower because they aren't skinny with a six pack at 47. (All while working overtime, raising teenagers, walking the dog, and trying to keep the house from looking like a shit show.) Here's the truth. When it comes to our bodies, we are all profoundly spiritually wounded. We are disconnected from our bodies — and from nature and our essential wildness. It's what makes issues around weight, fitness, and body image so profoundly painful and difficult. It's what sabotages us every time we try to make change. So what's the answer? I think you'll like it. It's rather juicy. It's all about saying F**K YOU to Suzy influencer who's trying to sell you the latest fitness program and diet supplements. (Suzy's got butt implants, by the way.) It's about giving the finger to jacked gurus trying to sell you on the latest diet with a name. (And a bunch of products to go with it.) It's all about healing old wounds and getting in right relationship with yourself, your food, and the planet. It's about reclaiming your essential wildness and leaning into your own pleasure. And eventually, it's about making change from a place that feels whole, aligned, and free of shame or urgency. Sound amazing? Let's dive in!
