I just found this podcast and I really enjoy it. I love the storytelling and the discussions at the end that include history and character analysis. So much work goes into every episode.

One of My favourite podcasts . I can always rely on Graham to be informative without being patronising and I find his quirky humour and little asides very funny . Keep it up

The wit and wherewithall to combine story with analysis sets this podcast apart from the rest. For keenly curious, just the tale, or just the analysis of any particular story leaves one wanting for the other. Look no further...

My 12 year old and I listen to this podcast whenever it’s just the two of us in the car. It’s something special that the two of us share in rare moments alone together. We both love the stories, and the only complaint is that they aren’t more regular. Such a great story teller, and some good...Read full review »

I was going to wait until I caught up on the episodes before writing a review, but I wanted to praise 31. The Seeker Knight in particular. The Dungeons And Dragons role-play description for a battle scene from the tale and the Heavy Metal Magazine cover references for the visuals were hilarious....Read full review »

Best folklore/folk tale podcast out there. Graham is an incredibly gifted story teller and clearly delves deep into researching each subject. His humor and knowledge comes through in a captivating way. If I could give it 6 stars I would!

Selection of stories is new to me. I love a good bed time story read by a dulcet toned Brit. One of the podcasts I use to sleep. I set the timer for half a hour. Then listen again the next day. Also enjoy the commentary on the tales.

The stories are brilliantly chosen and told by a very talented story-teller. Graeme sets the scene perfectly and makes the tales relatable and interesting by weaving in magic and details along the way. There’s a lot of dark humour which I really appreciate, too!

I’ve been dipping in and out of similarly themed podcasts for a little over a year now, and this one is by far my favourite. The stories themselves are great and the music is superb. Most of all, though, it’s the warmth and good humour in the telling (in a world that needs all the warmth and good...Read full review »

Entertains and informs, The host is a cut price Baldric who clearly doesn’t like the British isles, or it’s people/ history/ tales. How dare peoples who lives centuries ago have different (and usually abhorrent to modern sensibilités) attitudes. The musical selections are great, and the...Read full review »

I am so glad I found this podcast. I love the way the stories are ‘painted’ with descriptions of the scene we would be presented with, if it were a film. I love the tongue in cheek asides (very British) which are laugh out loud funny and an excellent way to highlight the strange way certain...Read full review »

Great show, love the stories. I like that there’s both a mix of longer stuff and episodes with short tales centered around a theme. Makes for a good variety to choose from depending on my mood.

An excellent podcast telling British folk tales with some excellent comic asides which in no way interrupt the flow. A very good jumping off point for finding out about more about the lore of this land.

There’s nothing else quite like this podcast. Modern storytelling at its best, with cinematic scene-setting and moments of genuine tension.
