“I like Adam’s videos, but I’m not sure about this podcast yet. Production quality is excellent which is no small feat, but I gotta admit I'm a bit turned off by how deliberate and scripted Adam's monologues are. It's like listening to an audiobook, and it just doesn't play well for me. There’s some other teething problems I hope he works out since there’s some very different rules for audio-only versus audio-video content.
A couple examples, the second full episode (Olive Face) came up in my feed while I was biking so I didn't have easy access to look at my phone. I was getting very frustrated because the title of the film wasn't mentioned even once until maybe the last 10 minutes of the episode. Every other time it was just "this film". A quick plot synopsis and production summary would be helpful too, since I (and probably many other listeners) aren't familiar with the film at all. One other minor thing, Adam made an "it was *this* big" gesture at one point, which only works on video.
