“The episode on alcohol dependence got me to write this review. I’ve been casually listening and learning a lot. My older sister was diagnosed adhd a long time ago, and I never considered it until recently. I was diagnosed with a combination adhd- severe inattentive type with mild hyperactivity, which has explained so much about my life. We believe my mom has it too. Our whole family has had a habitual dependency with drinking that has always been high functioning, and we were recently discussing that maybe there’s a correlation between our alcohol use and adhd. Then this episode came out right after we had discussed it. Thank you for bringing the many, varied manifestations of adhd to light. I feel like I’m at the tip of the iceberg in learning more about myself, and this podcast has given me so many avenues to explore. It’s made me feel less alone, more forgiving of my behavioral antics, and validated in how I function. Thank you!”
