“Although I’ve only recently discovered Simon and all of his various channels, and while there are a myriad of things I've come to enjoy about listening to him, I think my favorite thing so far is the lingual diversion from my “American” English. In particular the leaving out of the indefinite article “a” before saying the word hospital. Eg: “And then he was immediately taken to hospital.” That and his ever relatable tangents along with the emotional cycle of being excited and enthusiastic about the subject of said tangent then the sudden switch to an apologetic and almost shameful tone when as he repeatedly says sorry to the listener, script writer and video editor and promise to “reel it in”. 🤣 😃🎢 😔🙃 Absolutely love the show[s]!
