Problematic
The New York high school admission episode reeked of implicit bias, problematic narratives of meritocracy-the host's questions basically said well, it's true that the kids who got in are the best and letting in black and brown youth would change the culture and fill it with less than the best. This is a fantastic way to get 15 minutes of news in the morning. Well executed, well written, and another brilliant form of journalism from the New York Times.
