Monotone - and confusing dialogue - where is the correlation to other aspects of life like exercise! - confusing, if you have eating issues as you talk about, are you really the right person to give advise ? You cloud each topic with your experience - as someone who is interested in the topic...Read full review »

Sorry, after I thought about it, it wasn’t zip lining you were doing, it was walking across a long narrow bridge or something to that effect, reporting live ;)

As a native of Los Angeles, I feel I'm constantly navigating a sea of annoying, bad, or all out dangerous health advice. Naturally, when I first heard Harriet present a "Stupid Idea of the Week," I trusted her immediatey. Her style is never superior or preachy or humorless --...Read full review »

I listened to episode 060, all about the World Cup and how tribal it is. It was a fascinating conversation about how tribal and community influences how you eat and the foods you consume. It made me pause and think about the different tribes in my life and what relationship food has in those...Read full review »

Besides the fact that this podcast is funny and entertaining, it is just what I need to help me “reclaim my life from food.” Harriet focuses on the core reasons for our problems with food while giving us strategies to manage our compulsions right from the get-go. I love how Harriet tells stories to help her audience through eating addictions. I especially enjoyed the "Masquerade" episode. I had never heard the story of this book before, and I found it deeply fascinating. Harriet made really interesting connections between the lessons of the book...Read full review »

Harriet suggested I listen to episode where she used Blade Runner as a example the dangers of Calorie counting. I was able to pick up some great nutritional tips but most of all, the thing I walked away with was the love Harriet has for sharing these tips. The preparation and execution can be...Read full review »

I listened to the Sugar Tax episode. I was interested because the UK government introduced a tax on brands that had high amounts of sugar content. I heard Ribena cut their sugar levels but has it made an impact? Harriet does a great job of dealing with this. People will always have their thoughts...Read full review »

I thought the stupid ideas of the week were funny, the crazy fad diets are ridiculous and breathatarianism is at the tip of the spear. I liked the rejection challenge discussed in the episode and how we can use failures to gain valuable information. Overall a very informative podcast with tools...Read full review »

This is a very well produced show talking about health and specifically focusing on binge eating and the effects of sugar on the body. The host takes a very no nonsense type of approach with short 25 minuet or so episodes that while maybe a bit light on commentary, are packed with useful...Read full review »

Your voice is so soothing I could listen to you talk about anything! But honestly, this was great. I’m a huge fitness guys but often don’t know too much about eating. I eat healthy, but I never thought to slow down my eating at all. Thanks for the advice! Great podcast!

I love this podcast and never miss an episode. It’s the least prescriptive yet amazingly powerful eating advice I’ve ever got. And trust me, I’ve read acres of copy, and followed every diet ever invented. I’ve been watching my weight and under the cosh about what I eat since I was in my teens....Read full review »

It seems there’s a very valuable dialogue happening here on the intersection of food, culture and psychology. There’s also very strong opinions, personal anecdotes, and lots of pop cultural reference points. Great vulnerability shown by the host which makes this a fun ride.

A great and much-needed podcast to help improve our eating and health habits. There is so much misinformation out there but Harriet is here to help us clear the air and decide how to actually live a healthy lifestyle. Bravo! -Andy Storch

First, simply listening to Harriet's voice is treat enough! I was thrilled to hear Harriet give the explantion of what sugar does to the brain (Episode EC004)!
