41. Grace Over Grind: How to Stop Striving to Prove Yourself in a Society That Demonizes Rest with Emily Louis
Listen now
Description
Our culture promotes an endless cycle of work and striving, portraying it as the only path to success, but what if that’s not the case? Rest can be hard to see as a gift, yet the Lord has wired us for rest. So in this episode we’ll address how and why you need to implement rest into your routine and begin to view it as a blessing that doesn’t hold you back but actually promotes healing.  In today’s episode, I’ll be joined by Emily Louis, faith coach and host of the Abundant Grace Podcast, to talk all about the necessity for rest.  We’ll touch on what rest looks like in the bible, the idea of “earning” rest, and why it can be so intimidating, as well as how to be filled with peace that allows you to step into rest. Topics discussed in this episode include:  ❤️ How to stop striving by letting go of “should” 🕊 Defining Biblical rest and why you need it 🔍 Assessing your motivation for feeling like you always have to be busy ☮️ Finding peace in the chaos to accept rest 🏃‍♀️ The possibilities available to you when you step off the “hamster wheel” and give yourself permission to rest Resources mentioned: >>> For more from Emily, follow her on social media @emily.abundantgrace or check out the Abundant Grace Podcast >>> If you want to shape and change your beliefs, check out this  5 minute worthiness mediation Become a VIP Podcast Insider HERE to access BONUS resources only available to our VIP list.
