I can’t remember who recommended the book to me but I finally got around to listening to the audiobook and became absolutely obsessed. When I heard there is a podcast too, I just had to check it out. I love the voice and thoughtful conversations combined with her quirky sense of humour! So...Read full review »

I find she tries to be like Adam buxton vibes at the start and end. I find her quite disingenuous and fake. I think she thinks she talks about her panic years but ends up talking about having babies and being 35 way too much for a pod that’s supposed to be about ..: ‘ the panic years’ she’s just...Read full review »

Amazing podcast! Love the different perspectives and stories from everyone’s ‘Panic Years’. As I am currently going through mine, it’s great knowing I’m far from alone 😉Please make more episodes soon 💕

Cosy revelatory listening. I would 100% invite Frizzell to my brunch squad and craft coven. Compassion, representation, humour and food for thought on the road trip to your life - where do you want to go? Let’s explore!

I can’t recommend this podcast enough. I have loved all of the interviews which are so open and honest and I have learnt so much through listening and have felt so seen! Thank you Nell for sharing so many different perspectives. I think this is truly wonderful.

I can’t listen to anything else at the moment.

Love the concept of panic years and enjoyed Daisy Buchanan episode. But overall it’s much less about navigating that weird liminal time in your late twenties and much more people talking about parenthood - like that’s really the only destination we’re all headed for.

Loved the book and love the pod! Very soothing listen on a Sunday eve.

This weeks episode was a such a comfort. I also worry about the ‘performance’ of dating and often take breaks from dating apps as it’s so all consuming. This conversation was like listening to a friend going through the same thing! Thanks for the company!

Thanks, Nell. I’ve really enjoyed this podcast and I’ve found each episode has left me with lots to think about. If only I’d listened to it ten years ago - it would have been an inspiring distraction from the anxiety of my panic years.

Full of intelligent and entertaining discussions

I really enjoyed the first two episodes and found them incredibly refreshing and encouraging. From here onwards, however, the podcast is not really as described, and mostly focuses on how rewarding it is to be a parent, whilst discussing the challenges of raising children. This was a bit...Read full review »

I’ve really enjoyed the podcast so far. As someone without a mother figure in the picture I feel quite alone at times, especially entering the panic years. The topics and advice included are really helpful and have actually helped start conversations in my own relationship.

So glad someone has finally vocalised what the Panic Years are all about. I’ve often felt conflicted or worried about all these topics and still do but I found this podcast a little gem in understanding that it’s a wider part of life and everyone goes through it. Thank you Nell. 🧡

I was hoping this would be a podcast offering a diverse range of perspectives on this period on people’s lives but it’s just turned I to loads of people banging on about kids and babies. Zzzzzzzz...

I’m currently reading Nell’s book and can’t tell you how much of the book and this podcast resonates with everything I’m feeling and thinking about right now. As at 29-year-old, about to turn 30, all of the questions that Nell is addressing in this podcast and in her book are the things that have...Read full review »

So calming and information — a lovely podcast where you feel like you’re joining your great friends for a chat about life.

Such a good podcast - highly recommend. I do really hope that you start to cover other areas of the panic years (other than motherhood) such as career, moving houses etc.

I am very glad I discovered this podcast and Nel’s book whilst in my own panic years. It has put my mind at ease that I am not crazy and not on my own. Completely hilarious and everything I didn’t know I needed.

This is such a great podcast, covering all the topics you might have thought about in your 20s, 30s and 40s, in Nell’s typical hilarious but incredibly intelligent manner. The guests bring a brilliant insight to each chapter and are incredibly generous and honest with their personal experiences.

Very honest conversations and I love Nell’s choice of guests. Always looking forward to the next episode!

Reading your book now, Nell. Beautiful accompanying podcast. FINALLY other people who hate weddings too! A private thought I haven’t been able to express with friends.

I have enjoyed Nell’s journalism very much in the past and am thrilled to find her as compelling a speaker. She should be on the radio. I look forward to the upcoming episodes as I make my way through her book.

Absolutely hooked on this podcast. Fascinating and hilarious conversations about that squiffy period of life when you finish being a reckless young wally, and have to start making some Big Decisions. Nell is a brilliant host. Can’t wait for the next one.

Incredibly helpful and balanced conversation about something so relevant but rarely discussed. Really looking forward to more.

I so enjoyed this first episode ...as a happily married woman of 17 years , when married at 24 and with your husband from 19 I assumed and took for granted we would have children , 6yrs into marriage I realised I may not want children ...stuck with the panic of my self sabotage of my happy...Read full review »

Insightful & important with moments of pure comedy. LOVED episode 1 where Nell interviews Daisy Buchanan - two of the most emotionally-intelligent, articulate writers in conversation, what more could you what? Also enjoyed the expert debrief at the end of the episode - a unique element that...Read full review »

Someone has finally done the right thing and plucked Nell Frizzell from her morning swims in freshwater lakes or running alongside deer in darkened forests and given her a brand-new, spanking , shiny podcast. Where she can chat with her friends about ‘The Panic Years’ the subject of her new book,...Read full review »

I found this podcast took me by surprise because it managed to be funny and friendly but then there was some emotional depth to it too rather than staying in that comfortable space. The decision to bring in a trained expert really cemented this as a great listen.

I wish all of the episodes could be released now! It was so refreshing to listen to a conversation that I’m sure many women (myself included) are fearful of having, or do not have enough. It was a comforting listen as well as being funny, insightful, and honest. This is an important podcast. I...Read full review »
