“This a ten-star podcast! It has changed my life and the way that I approach my relationships to myself and others. Before I started listening to The Skillful Podcast, I’d already been in therapy for a couple of years, mostly using cognitive behavioral therapy. My daughter, who is a school psychologist, had told me about DBT. I had read a book about DBT. I had downloaded an app to help me practice the principles of DBT. But not until I started listening to the discussions between Marielle and Ed on this podcast did I ever really “get it.” They describe so many real-life applications of DBT that helped me understand and see when and how I needed to be using the techniques. It’s helped me develop a better sense of myself, my emotions, my beliefs, my assumptions, my goals, my values, my personal worth. DBT is a life-changer, and Marielle and Ed are to be commended for bringing these ideas into an easy-to-access venue and in an easy-to-understand way.
