Thin privilege and “moderation only” garbage

First off, her Instagram is full of over the top, overly acting reels to get attention. She is in a thin privileged white able body trying to tell the binge eating recovery space to “just let yourself eat the foods”. Let yourself eat the peanut butter and the cake and cookies because “you’re going to binge anyway”. That’s basically the moral of her content. Would she be posting reels of her eating junk foods and aggressively and fakely eating if she was in an obese body? I highly doubt it. Recovering into an underweight very thin body is not the real Ed recovery experience and I’m so sick of seeing “experts” and women like her in the space who are basically just telling people to eat all the junk food and that’s what’s going to heal them? Eating disorders are about emotions, trauma, body trauma, safety, family, etc. it’s not just diet culture. Her reels are so cringe I don’t understand how she has such a large following. everything she puts out is for attention and likes. How on earth do people think she’s helping people in the Ed recovery space ?

Learning from Colleen in The Socieaty is quite honestly changing my life. She is so practical and relatable and I love that she is including real women on similar journeys in this podcast. <3
