“The Talk Show at 5by5 was one of the highlights of my week. This iteration is but a shadow of its former self. Sure it's only the first episode but Gruber seems entirely out of his depth without his former wingman, Dan Benjamin.
Secondary to the content, this is not 'The Talk Show' and should not be entitled as such. I'll be giving the next episode a listen but if after that things haven't improved, it's over for me. Plus, Mule and it's backer make me a little uncomfortable, which doesn't help Gruber's cause for me, and for many others, it would seem.

“Every once in a while you get something that just works. The Talk Show with John Gruber and Dan Benjamin on the 5by5 Network was one of those things. Sure John was surly, ill-prepared, and sometimes drunk; but that's what made it work. It was raw and it felt real.
