Always Sunny in Philadelphia?
Every once in a while you get something that just works. The Talk Show with John Gruber and Dan Benjamin on the 5by5 Network was one of those things. Sure John was surly, ill-prepared, and sometimes drunk; but that's what made it work. It was raw and it felt real. This newest iteration starts off on the wrong foot. This observation is not because of John's dis-service to those who have listened to the previous episodes, nor is it because the move reveals a level of unprofessionalism in Mr. Gruber that I previously thought impossible, but because it is hosted by an almost embarrassingly giddy Gruber. I could have taken a somber Gruber, a drunk Gruber, or the good-ole melancholy Gruber; however giddy Gruber is the final straw, a slap in the face, and hence the 'don't like it' rating.Read full review »
