Sorry. I won’t even listen- you belong to the corrupt politicians in your county/state. Until I see or hear someone whose willing to tell the truth…I won’t be listening.

Love your podcast. Thank you. One question, I notice you sometimes say Alex M “borrowed or stole…”. I haven’t heard any evidence that he “borrowed” from his clients or law firm. “Borrowing” implies the owner of the funds is aware of and consents to the loan. It seems he simply “stole” the funds.

Great if you are trying to fall asleep. Otherwise, in my opinion, MMP is better.

Like, kind of, kinda, sort of. These are not descriptive. You saw the gravesite kind of in person.

Don’t waste your time. They cater to the Murdaugh’s. They should be ashamed! Such better podcasts out there that are not afraid of this family. Mandy Matney is a star. Go listen to her!

Of the multitude of Murdaugh podcasts, this one takes the cake for being straightforward, understandable and leaning away from the conjecture and sensationalism that have clouded this story from its beginnings. An excellent work of journalism.

Just a factual based recap without the drama of other reporters and podcasts. Wish the episodes were longer! I also wish the woman reporter would take a throat lozenge before she speaks. Her up and down voice, and unnatural raspy, vibration sound of her voice (is she sleeping?) is not...Read full review »

The worst Murdaugh podcast by a mile. Amateurish to say the least.
FLLaw32 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/10/23
Hosts are openly dismissive of the prosecution’s case while praising Griffin’s closing argument - hard to believe these are actual journalists when they clearly lack objectivity.

Good show. Easy way to get caught up on the trial quickly. Zero analysis; simply accurate reporting of the day’s events. One suggestion: Jocelyn answers every question with “yeah” before launching into her answer; recommend she revise it to “yes” or drop it completely. But she and all of the...Read full review »

A consistently concise, easy-to-follow daily trial summary. Thanks to the Post and Courier reporters and pod producers who made this happen so that busy people could keep up with major developments in the convoluted Murdaugh double-murder case.

The title of this podcast “Understand Murdaugh” shows bias. Anyone who has looked seriously into this case knows that Alex Murdaugh is a monster who stole from innocent victims and murdered his family. Trying to “understand” a monster like that is not a worthy goal. Honest media would be working...Read full review »

The mans strange robotic voice asking the female basic questions is just weird, just let the woman talk- she’d do better on her own. The Q and A of this podcast is so off putting

The format stinks…stop with the question/answer format…the questioner makes me cringe….the stupid leading question…ugh
marafin via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/01/23
I appreciate the lack of opinions and just reporting information in a short concise way but the guy asking questions needs to attempt to sound a little less like he’s doing some D level acting

I love this show. Easy to digest and careful attention to detail. From a clearly dedicated and talented team. Well done everyone.

A podcast needs to be written for the ear. simple sentence, active voice. If you need a comma, the sentence is too long. Unfortunately, during the trial they brought the reporter on (Jocelyn?) who basically read her newspaper article, or they tossed a scripted question to her and she reads the...Read full review »

…for a thoughtful, clear, and unbiased account of this case and the social-political landscape in which it takes place

If you aren’t following the trial closely and you want a quick recap of the day, this might be perfect for you. There’s not really any analysis or opinions, so if you want a deep dive, you’ll be disappointed.

Current summaries that are concise, non-biased accounts of court proceedings given on the same day of that trial. I finally found a podcast that gives me the facts which are not muddled with snarky comments, cuties phrases and biased opinions.

This podcast provides great quick recaps of the daily trial of alex murdaugh. There is also great background information. I highly recommend the judge Newman episode and the defense team episode

Not over the top good. But good. It’s concise and to the point and that’s helpful

I like the daily updates and the brevity of the episodes, but ironically I’m a bit irritated by the slow pace at which everyone speaks. This pod is much better when listens to at 1.25 speed.

The Post & Courier journalists do a terrific job of providing background, analysis, and explanations of complicated legal and financial matters related to the Murdaugh trial in the Low Country of South Carolina. I was looking for a podcast with shorter and succinct episodes and this fits the bill. Well reported and less slanted than some others but still goes hard on the corruption. Addicted to this podcast. The presenters are professional and the focus is the story, which they cover very well. A class above MMP

Favoring sides??? The P&C almost never gives unbiased slants. They have favored the Defense team. No credit to Mandy Matney and her three years of true investigative journalism?? No props to Fits News either? You are diving off another journalist’s diving board.

Concise summaries of the biggest hitting moments in the courtroom. I love all their voices and find this podcast as a great compliment to Lunashark’s Murdaugh Murders podcast.

Just started this after reading about the case in the NYT. This is a real news podcast by the major SC newspaper editor and reporters who know their state. I’m really enjoying listening to the reporters tell all they know about this fascinating case. I enjoy listening to this podcast because it sticks to the facts and not their view of the case. I’m certainly not a fan of Alex but I do think he deserves a fair trial. Just started listening to this podcast and am very impressed. These folks have gotten a 1:1 interview with the trial judge - a very tough thing to do. The reporter provided fascinating context in the days leading up to the trial. They’ve also gotten some other scoops. Good storytelling!
