“I stumbled upon the podcast whilst searching for something along the lines of “why is my brain so f*d up”.
Although originally aimed at lawyers, I believe it’s soon become apparent to Kara that many people walk around every day befuddled, over thinking, analysing, worrying, catastrophising and consequently find ourselves living in fight or flight mode. Like lizards. That’s true for me in any case. Maybe I’m just nuts.
I am a digital marketer and run my own agency. It’s small, hectic and stressful. At least that’s how I make it in my own head. Every time I have a slight negative client vibe I assume my whole life will come crashing down and I will - and I quote, “live in a bin”
I think anyone who shoulders any kind of responsibility for other people’s money, livelihood and success outcomes can be particularly prone to this kind of mindset, and in addition, people who suffer from anxiety and are looking for tools to manage it.
I would recommend listening, The presenter is clever, witty, funny and most of all she’s just right. Everything makes total sense. Every single episode has spoken loads of truth to me. All I can say is I will be playing them over and over so it sinks in.”
