MTV was my life!
What a great podcast! The stories took me back to a time that span well over a 20 year period. My aunt in MI had cable and MTV. We would go there frequently and watch what are now the classics, wham, boy George, Adam and the ants, etc, etc, etc. Once it finally came to our area, my sister and I waited in line for hours on a hot July day to get our MTV. Sure we got many other channels w it, but I only cared about one…my MTV! As I listened and reminisced, I thought of things Idt I heard mentioned which included all the contests, Randy of the redwoods, top video countdown, headbangers ball, road rules, singled out, the 70s house, girl and guy code, /Eon flux, liquid tv, and then let’s not forget all the great shows and video pop-ups VH1 aired. I’m sad this podcast came to an end, like I’m sure MTV will someday too.

This is great. I think I shed a tear reminiscing about my own MTV memories. Well produced, great guests and perfectly narrated. Salute 🫡🫡

Hooked by the first episode. Dave has done it again with excellent story telling and fantastic observations of a time and place. If you grew up on and with MTV and wonder “What happened?”, this is podcast for you.
