“Firstly, I love NPR and rely on it primarily as my news source. I also love the idea of a short podcast to start the day, as I don't rely of TV newscasts. I'm using this podcast as a quick news check-in, in case I'm unable to read the news during the day. I'd like it to stick to the most important news and not deliver pop culture related news. There are other podcasts for that. There are too many important things going on in the world to use valuable minutes of this short podcast for that.
