“I recently finished listening to all of Shari’s podcast episodes (they are all available in her website) and I think that Shari hits the nail on the head regarding the diet industry and the solution to weight loss struggles.
I’ve listened to several podcasts around the subjects of mindful/intuitive eating, habit psychology, emotional eating, mindfulness etc. but I think this one is the most on point and comprehensive.
I have known for some years that dieting doesn’t work for me (or most people) and that I needed to resolve my issues and habits around food and eating developed from childhood after years of dieting and low self esteem and, thanks to Shari, I feel that I now have the tools to do so.
It’s not a quick fix and you have to be really persistent and committed, incorporating all of Shari’s advise and suggestions, but my own relationship with food has improved immeasurably since I started listening to the podcast.
I’m hopeful that using some of the techniques mentioned, like journaling and mindfulness meditation, I will also be able to improve other areas of my life.
In addition to all the above, Shari’s podcast is less annoying than others as she doesn’t spend too much time trying to sell her services or repeating herself like others do!
