a rare blend of intimacy and investigative journalism
Sure this host sounds like a hard-nosed investigative journalist, because that's what she is. Pair that with her soft heart and her superb ability to forge connections and her confident evocative writing and you are hooked. You will feel what the Dunahee family feels. If you can bear it. This is not shlocky true crime. This is first rate factual storytelling.Read full review »

I hope the rcmp can find a solid conclusion to this case and you can serve an apology and Dallas Hulleys mother for your opinion based reporting. Shame on you.

This podcast handles a difficult heart wrenching case with great sensitivity whilst being responsible enough not to prejudice any future movements in the police case. It’s done very tastefully, which is something that can’t always be said for podcasts in this genre.

Laura did an amazing job telling the story of Lisa Marie Young. By the end of the podcast I feel like I know Lisa Marie and want so much for the monster(s) to be caught and punished.
