They're GREEEEEAAAT!
I am an all things wine addict with a small vineyard in my backyard, and i recently began listening to podcasts while working out, predominantly wine podcasts. Among those I have tried, graperadio, 3wineguys, and a few more, this is by far my favorite. I only wish there were more of them : ) As advertised, it is very approachable by all, but they also clearly have vast expertise. They both have great voices for a podcast, easy to listen to. Elizabeth sounds magma hot. And there is a very subtle interplay between them that is fun, they clearly enjoy each others company. The format is perfect too, Rick plays Elizabeths foil. And although she is clearly more knowledgable (e.g. sommelier), and he sets her up with presumably prepared softball questions, (which are often the same questions those of us are wondering about), he clearly knows far more than solely his questions would have us believe. The topics have been broad and have even covered winemaking. They do not usually dissect individual wines a la others (not that I don't enjoy that as well), i.e. broader utility to listeners is my experience. I'd highly recommend this podcast, and to those doing it, please keep it up!!!Read full review »
