After Peter Jackson's fantastic Get Back series, I didn't think I could get any closer to sitting in with the Beatles. But this podcast teleports us right there, so that we get to sit in with the group for two weeks in January 1969 as they create the Let It Be album. We hear every minute of the full audio in real time (with none of the invented scenes Peter Jackson made for dramatic effect in his series). At times, our host, Nick pauses the audio to lovingly fill us in on helpful context (going so far as to even explain what tv show a Beatle was talking about the night before). Thank you Nick! I’ve watched Get Back at least 10x now and spent last month deep diving into all things Beatles. This is a must listen for anyone who didn’t think Get Back was long enough. Has lots of great context added to get the full understanding of this month in the Beatles life.
