If you can’t get enough Beatles this is for you. If you are interested in song writing , this is also for you. Nick does a wonderful job explaining the steps and discussions during the sessions. I am really enjoying this.

A stunning level of attention to detail. I feel this podcast will readdress the balance between the gloomy Let it Be cinematic edit and Doug Sulphy’s essential but downbeat book with ( what I fear will be) a sugar coated Disney version of events …Nick tells it like it is (or was) . Love his...Read full review »

Awesome show. I love the context added to understand what was going on in delightful, nerdy detail! Enjoying this so much while waiting for the Get Back documentary in Nov!

A truly deep dive in the the nagra tapes giving a minute by minute, note by note, breakdown of the Jan ‘69 sessions. Lots of fascinating insights to the dialogue between the band along with background stories that provide excellent context. I’m not a muso but even I found the musical...Read full review »

The Nagra reels are the best view of the Beatles at work we will ever get. I don’t think anyone has ever extracted the narrative properly until now. This podcast is fantastic. I hope you keep going until you squeeze every last drop out of every minute of tape.

Absolutely love this pod. It’s a deep and detailed insight into the Twickenham sessions and the context of the sessions. As a Beatles obsessive I learned so much more and it challenged my received wisdom. Absolute quality ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This is a strangely compelling journey through The Beatles ‘Let It Be’ sessions of January 1969. We move through the story with unimaginable detail, in an atmosphere that is not dissimilar to visiting the ghosts of the The Beatles at work in the studio more than half a century ago. The minute a...Read full review »

This is a great way of preparing for Peter Jackson’s Get Back show. Superb detail. Perhaps not for average fan but if you are reading this then you are probably a fellow Beatle nut.

It’s all brilliant. Can’t wait for more: the first 8 were mesmerizing. It’s a well researched deep dive. How can an hour by hour analysis of a studio session work? This way. Hoping to hear more before Peter Jackson’s film in August

The detail in this is just what this Beatle nerd needs! I love the fact I’m learning new stuff here. Not opinions but proper fascinating insight. Live the muso leanings too. Thanks so much for producing this.

Fantastic forensic look at this period of the Beatles history where they expected the magic to happen straight away and it didn’t. Would be 5 stars for me if the music beds were dropped or reduced in volume. They are unnecessary and it is difficult to hear the narrator sometimes.

Awesome show for any hardcore Beatles fan, maybe the best
Wardster25 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/11/21
As forensic as any Beatles podcast could be... this is a great way to get into the headspace of the band during the complex period of making Get Back/Let It Be. Excellent idea and well done as a podcast.

A highly detailed and humanising trek through the recording of Let It Be. An amazing documentary to lose yourself inside.

This is a great little podcast for a deep dive into the making of Let It Be, great knowledge and fascinating behind the scenes audio I’ve not heard before which for a subject as popular as The Beatles is a rare thing

Probably not for the casual fan, but a must for everyone else. Phenomenal attention to detail and really brings these sessions to life . Can’t wait for the next one . Thanks Nick Kev
