“Since discovering the Women and ADHD podcast, I have a renewed sense of self-worth. It is easy to spiral when you get a diagnosis in adulthood that would have made certain struggles more manageable throughout oneβs life. I was ready to go down a lonely, hopeless path when I thought things couldn't get better, even after starting proper treatment, medication, therapy, etc. The truth is that my story is not unique. Many adult women have been overlooked and misdiagnosed for not outwardly presenting with the traditional attributes that society and some medical professionals continue to associate with ADHD. I am beyond thankful to listen to Katy and her insightful guests every week. I still struggle with eating, sleeping, executive function, and impulsivity, to name a few things. But every episode gives me ideas on how to not only cope with my symptoms but to truly THRIVE. Sometimes it's just nice to be reminded that I'm not lazy or crazy :) Thank you for all that you do, and for welcoming me into this network of strong women!”Read full review »
