Do we have a right to know what’s in our food?
What’s in our food? How is it made? What technologies are involved? I typically go to the grocery or local market and buy what looks appealing, because it’s so hard to wrap my head around the complexity of how are food is produced and distributed around the world. This podcast makes that process more digestible (get it?). We’re lucky to have a fantastic host, Lauren Crossland-Marr, walk us through one incredibly complicated and new technology that I know so little about: CRISPr. In the first episode, they say to understand the science you need to communicate it to someone who is very young or understands a low level, and I feel seen! I'm already better equipped to ask questions about this technology and how it’s shaping our food system and we’re only one episode in. Can’t wait til the next one drops. (And really appreciate the fantastic audio quality and production!)Read full review »
