I’m an avid tennis player and I always thought I was more of a short sprints type of guy because I’m shorter and have stocky legs. I’ve always considered myself fairly fit, but I wanted to take my fitness to the next level. I started running (with improper form) back in May/June! I was able to build my mileage from 1 mile to around 3 miles per run by the time august/September came. It was around this time I started feeling pain in my feet, knees, and shins. I don’t what told me, but I figured if I was having pain, then I was doing something wrong! And sure enough, I looked up a few videos on YouTube and I was doing lots of things wrong!
I decided that the best way was for me to learn as I run and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this podcast! I can say it’s changed my life! I went from hardly running ever to running at least 3x a week on top of tennis. Your podcast has helped me eliminate knee and shin pain while running (I still get foot pain some times). My average run mileage has increased too! Shortly after listening to your podcast, I was able to increase my mileage to 5.5 miles per run with my longest run being 8.3 miles.”
