I have been following the blog in the podcast for the last year. I really like bike James coaching point of reference, his thinking outside of the box, and his training tips. At times, he can get very wordy making his points, which makes his line of thinking hard to follow. But the podcast notes...Read full review »

Thanks James for all the great advice. I am new to the sport after riding road bikes for ten years. I had never before focussed on skills and strength and am seeing better results than I anticipated.

I was very skepical of this podcast at first, mostly because of the host's issue with clipless pedal. I've used clipless pedal on my road bike for 20 years and couldn't image not using them on a mtn bike. I just started mountain biking 2 months ago and have been listening to variuos podcasts...Read full review »

I've always felt that James gives great insight into the fitness aspect of training without the BS generally doing the rounds. Keep up the good work.

When we hear the podcast talking, regarding performance, about “tension” and avoiding any discussion over heart rate, we simply cannot apply any of those general terms to our training. If you count that most of us, we don´t have power meters and we work on Training Peaks TSS based on heart...Read full review »

James has very good content and some great guests on the show. Only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is the audio quality, which is pretty poor. Glad to see a new episode posted today and was hoping this continued.

Great tips in the podcast on climbing. Change the focus from 'spinning' your way up a climb to creating tension to get faster. So simple, yet so effective.

The information and discussions are great and make it really worth your time as a mountain biker. Honestly, the sound quality of the interivews being on the phone bothered me at first, but not really anymore. I have learned a lot. Every time I listen it gives me different ideas for training better.

I've been following James since first coming across an article on flat pedals that really opened my eyes up. Up until early 2013 I had never clipped in and was surprising people at XC races when beating them convincingly on flats, though had never heard any trainers approve of using flat pedals....Read full review »

I've paid strength trainers to tell me the same stuff James tells me for free! There's very little on iTunes that's mtn bike training specific but even if there was they'd struggle to match the knowledge and entertaining format of this Podcast. I was on the trail today and was consciously...Read full review »

When it's time to stop riding the same trail the same way and getting nowhere, listen to bike James. He gives you information that you can relate to. Using lee McCormack for skills and then bike James for strength and balance will take your riding to the next level. Most of the exercises and...Read full review »

I found this review very helpful in making the decision to go to flat pedals. I had heard from many people that riding flats improves your technique for getting over obstacles without using your clipped in feet for lifting the bike. The information about getting the right pedal and shoe was...Read full review »

MTB advice from a MTBer. Motivates me to train harder, to include strength, mobility, skills and better nutrition into my training.

Great podcast. James always has great insight into exercises and stretches to better yourself as a rider. Tech reviews, book reviews and great interviews.

He pops his "P's" , say uh and eats in the mic. So the content must be crap? Don't forget that rude little girl that comes in the room and completely ruins the podcast. Keep up the great work and thanks for not keeping it mainstream. PS - Crossfit is for yuppies.

I was going to buy some spd's for my MTB but after listening to your pod casts I'll stick to flats, maybe buy some better ones though.

I've become a huge fan of James Wilson from listening to his podcasts and watching videos on his website. Can't believe he's giving us all this info for free. Sound quality isn't the best but not a big deal to me.

James has increased the content. The podcast covers gear reviews, nutrition, strength and flexibility training, all geared specifically to mouintain biking. Its the only resource I know of to do so. I look forward to these each and every week (sometimers they take longer) and love how it covers every aspect of mountainbiking, from gear to skills, and from training to nutrition. If you want to get better at mountainbiking these are the podcast for you! Thanks for all of these James.

James might have the only podcast specifically aimed at fitness for mountain bikers, but it's tough to take him seriously. I'm impressed by his focus on functional movement, and he seems to know exercise moves. But I'm less impressed with his nutrition advice. For that, I recommed the "Get Fit...Read full review »

I look forward to these as BikeJames really talks the subjects he is covering in great detail. I look forward to the gear reviews and the nutrition info (I have worked a bunch of your advice into my habits already). The 10 superfoods cast you did was awesome. MORE!!!! I dont leave many reviews this is only my 2nd. I have been mountainbiking for 15 years and can safely say i would have been a different rider had this been around then. It is a well put together informative pod, that shouts common sense. Which in turn makes you a far more informed rider to...Read full review »

The authors of this podcast have absolutely ZERO understanding of what Crossfit is, what it isn't, and most importantly why it works. While the content occasionally earns 3 stars, the audio quality is really poor and the host pops and makes eating noises into the mic...that is between saying "Uh." I can't listen to it.

I really wanted to enjoy this podcast but like so many podcasts out there these days the audio quality is so p**s poor I can't listen to it.
