Excellent for Intermediate Guitar Players!!
I have been listening to these podcasts and am in the process of ordering Desi's book and DVD bundle. I have been playing guitar for about 12 years and was only knowledgeable about the basics (open chords, barre chords, etc.). I have always been able to play music by looking at tablature, but never fully understood the theory and mechanics behind it all. Just listening to these podcasts has put a lot of the information into perspective and has gotten me excited about enhancing my skills. I really like his method of teaching the CAGED template forms and his practice tips for learning the major scale. Another great thing about Desi's teaching method is that he incorporates great music into the lesson. For example, he discusses the theory and mechanics behind such great songs by Pink Floyd, Blind Melon, Cream, Bob Dylan, and a bunch more. I have been searching for lessons for intermediate guitarists for a long time, and it is nice to finally find something more on my level. I hope he keeps putting out more as I have just finished lesson 6 and have run out of lessons!Read full review »

Being self-taught, it's great to hear validation that what I know isn't completely wrong, but even better is learning new stuff on top of that. In my case,...Read full review »

These podcasts have managed to do in a few hours what I have been unable to do in 20 years, that's get an understanding of guitar theory and how music actually works. It has re-ignited my passion for the guitar and given me some hope that I can get to a level where I can play just for fun and...Read full review »
