Cognitive dissonance has a poster boy. Someone tell this incel that Jesus isn’t coming back to rescue him from this mean old world, so he might as well start living in reality. The worst is hearing someone this delusional sound this pompous. It’s like listening to Elmer Fudd mansplain...Read full review »

I love The End of History Podcast. It’s one of the best Apple holds in my opinion. The highest quality content. JB does an excellent job at looking at historic and contemporary events with an unbiased lens. Unclouded by any political agenda, his reflections are honest and objective. When he...Read full review »

I used to love listening to this podcast when it was simply describing unbiased history events. But when the perspective shifted to a more religious one, I lost interest. Christianity should be seen through the lens of history and not be used as a value system. Also.. the fact that JB chooses not...Read full review »

The scope and depth of the analysis is excellent. While he does his analysis through a Christian lens, he does not rewrite history. He presents the raw facts first, facts which have been distorted due to politics over the years, before carrying out his analysis. Keep up the good work.

Mostly for those looking to reinforce their very small world view (Christianity).

This is an excellent podcast that examines current and topical events through a values-based lense. Well researched, logical, clear reasoning, as well as insightful and discerning. Well worth the listen.

A good historian is able examine a particular point in time by looking not just at what happened, but why it happened by examining a wide range of factors such as economics, culture, geopolitics, prior events, and mass and individual psychology into a cocktail that is informative, engaging, and,...Read full review »

Very well researched, balanced presentations on history--both past and present-day history-in-the-making--with a unique angle of sight that you won't hear from other podcasters in this genre. JB is thorough and is obviously very well read. There is no nationalistic bias. You walk away with a...Read full review »

Been following this podcast for a while and what I appreciate most is that JB Shreve brings a clear perspective to what is going on today. Do download and listen.

5 Stars because I like that JB doesn't espouse himself as a liberal or conservative, and approaches timely substantive topics intelligently from his own common sense perspective. I may not arrive at the same conclusions he does on some issues, but do respect his analysis because I feel...Read full review »

The production quality is high and JB has an excellent voice. I enjoy most, the quality of the content. His goal is to help people understand what is happening. In a high-information and complex world, this is a difficult task and one that Mr Shreve accomplishes.

Social Inequity sounds like liberal buzz words. If that is your intent then fine but here is what you are leaving out: The poor are not trapped but fail to grab onto opportunity such as education. You are not taking into acount the single parent households. When discussing income you do not...Read full review »

Mr Shreve does a good job of explaining the "why" of the current middle east but I found his frequent scriptural quoting annoying and several comments he has made, to me, seem to show a lack of objectivity (specifically his conclusion that certain treaties fail because they go against...Read full review »

This podcast is top notch. JB clearly knows his stuff - he not only covers the events that happened, but really provides a lot more of the atmosphere the events occurred inside. He also really dives into the minds of the historical persons he mentions, which makes the material more clear and...Read full review »

JB Shreve's 'End of History' offers a factual and insightful commentary on historical events and processes. JB Shreve opens up the often fickle world of geopolitics and foreign policy and questions whether nations should just 'have interests'.Read full review »

Excellent podcast! JB gives a *thorough* explination of the subject of each episode, but my favorite part of it is the "context-setters" he gives in the first 10 minutes or so. I've seen 1 or 2 other reviewers complain about these, but I think they're wonderful because they give...Read full review »

This is a great podcast about Middle East history. very informative and interesting and he is a good story teller. My only problem with this podcast and the only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because of his religious preaching at the begining of each episode.Read full review »

I've been looking for a podcast to kind of break down the history of the middle east, and why it's the way it is today.
