Description
Apologies for my poor voice on this episode, I was fighting a bit of a cold at the time but the show must go on. We welcome Shannon and Marc Melanson back to our show this evening, two very special people who are always motivated to keep moving. Both love to ride their bikes, run, hike, and keep active. They enjoy going to Disney and running in costume as a couple, and we learn how they chose the characters to run. How difficult it was to make the costumes and what the entire Disney experience is all about. We move into the next part of our conversation, the Cabot Trail Relay Race. This happened recently and we learn all about this wonderful event. 276 km and 17 stages over tough mountains in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, through many small communities around the famous Cabot Trail. This sounds breathtaking and scary at the same time, just imagine yourself doing a leg that starts in the dark but ends with the sunrise after running up a large mountain. We hear Shannon and Marc's experience with this race and some of the rules that help keep the runners safe, very important. A fantastic conversation with two wonderful guests and I can almost see myself in Cape Breton running this event, perhaps you will as well.
