“I stumbled into podcasts after getting a family Spotify account. Being a guitar player for 35 or so years, your podcast gave me something to focus on that I enjoyed. The methods you introduce are the same techniques I employ in my practice routines, but you give a voice to something a blunder through. I am only up to episode at, at this writing, but am hooked. I wish I could play along with my guitar, but I listen in my care to and from work.
Not sure if you ever circle back, but one thing, in particular, kept playing through the tough times at the beginning. All beginners should start on an electric guitar (my opinion, don't yell). It is physically easier to play and allows the newbee to put some effect on the sound. It hides some of the mistake, but give you energy and inspiration to keep going. Too many of my friends started on acoustic and quit because it hurt. Even a cheap electric, setup properly, can be a great learning guitar.
