“I listened to the first episode of “What to do About Worry” with Dr. Robert Leahy for a course I am taking and it stuck with me. It was great to get a better understanding of why we worry and how we can accept and move past it. Understanding the difference between productive and unproductive worry, as well as accepting uncertainty is something that stuck with me as someone with anxiety that worries about future events often. I think this is important in understanding worry and the things we should and should not worry about. Taking action doing other things instead of worrying about things that we have no control over, or thinking what is the next course of action is another idea that I took away from this as I work on my own worry. Listening to the ideas of Dr. Leahy really helped me better understand how to control my worry and think about worrying differently. This is a great episode to listen to if you are a constant worrier to better understand how to help your mind.”
