There is no source for this. They are not rabbis. How could they take it upon themselves to deny hundreds of students from being encouraged in Yiddishkeit? When it comes to their own personal lives, they are not as strict. It clearly states in the Talmud that the women were inside the Azarah. If these people knew it, how could they do the opposite?
