Tired, Shame-based rhetoric
What is the point of the “ditch the scale” line if you’re going to continue to fixate exclusively on losing weight and maintaining weight loss? Weight loss is scientifically proven to not be universally, or even largely possible to maintain. This is NOT because people “make excuses”, or do the things successful folks “never do”, it’s because the human body does not work that way. If you want to improve your relationship with weight and food, consider listening to some body-positive podcasts. You are worthy of being happy with your body at any size.

Paul’s podcast is one of my favorites. He is so relatable and makes tough messages not feel as personal when you know you can relate to them. I recommend this podcast for anyone who has struggled to maintain weight loss goals or those who want to learn more about long term nutrition goals.
