I love to have the opportunity to hear lots of different views, interpretation of theology and ideas. I’m used to being in Christian environments where questions were actively discouraged. To hear from others is beautiful.

I have loved listening to this podcast and have gotten so much out of it. I appreciate how they make me feel like I am not alone in my faith walk. However, I have been frustrated for the past several months because they now lump all of their episodes (both Almost and Utterly) into one long list...Read full review »

After a year of ignoring this podcast after it went off the deep end with it’s crazy theories and clear demonstration that the hosts were not just almost heretical anymore I thought I’d see if it got any better. Nope! The latest episode I heard was ironic as the woman on the show was sounding...Read full review »

This is more than just a podcast. It’s a voice that helps me struggle with what we would consider life’s most important questions.

Utterly restorative for my faith, and completely damning to the power structures of the Church. Kind of like Jesus.

I love this show. As an Exvangelical with a secular graduate background in early and medieval Church history, I appreciate the ways in which the hosts (old and new) approach the material, with honesty and openness, and in the right Spirit.

Just a refreshing conversation and set of teachings on a book that I’ve read my whole life. Nate and Tim present a perspective without pushing it as the ‘gospel truth.’ But it really is some of the best teaching I’ve heard in a long time. Thanks guys!

I so appreciate the serious thought that goes into these programs. We are meant to wrestle with our faith to deepen our spiritual understanding, remind ourselves of our limitations and make us empathetic to those around us. Too many Christians keep the forms of faith but through their attitudes...Read full review »

Nothing too special, it’s just the same recycled ideas that don’t stand up to the truth. Instead, go take a biblical interpretation class (Hermeneutics) at a school like Biola. Join the actual Christians who are challenging beliefs properly. It will help you much more than this podcast.

Wow, what an incredibly intelligent, empathetic re-examining deep dive of the Bible. A must listen especially for those who grew up in Church who want to understand where the stories they were told when they were young came from.

As you speak I keep getting these “ah ha!”moments of concepts that really resonate. Falling out of evangelicalism has been traumatic. Your podcast has been so helpful in helping me recalibrate my love of God and retaining a healthier faith. Thank you!

This podcast does a fantastic job poking some holes in the modern, American forms of Christianity (specifically evangelical, Baptist, Calvinist, etc). However, unfortunately this podcast still falls very short of the Historic Christian Faith because it lacks the mind of the Early church. It...Read full review »

Quite frankly, in the first few episodes of this podcast, they have presented to me an entirely new narrative of the beginning of the Hebrew Testament. That is quite a feat.

I’ve absolutely loved this podcast for helping me reframe power at a whole and finding larger concepts in the Bible rather than narrowing in on specific passages and reading into the text. Authentic, honest, inspiring.

I left the church at 17, after years of emotional and mental abuse from church leaders. I had no plan to look back at the religion I left behind. Listened to several episodes now and the host has no mind of his own. He agrees with every guest (even flakes) he invites on the show. I’m a lifelong evangelical Christian and warn others that this show is not Biblical and only poses as intellectual.
