So today is World Mental Health Day, but every day we should talk about mental health. In this short episode I explain the importance of raising awareness, and give you some simple ways to create big impact on how to help break the stigma that surrounds mental health. It can be as simple as messaging someone in need or sharing something to do with mental health, but we all need to remember that we ALL have mental health. It's not 1 in 4, it's 1 in 1. I explain more in this episode! READ...

It's happening! A few months ago I put together a meet up, a small event for people to come to London to meet me personally but to also talk about mental health. To give mental health the voice it needs right now. Over 30 people showed up, but a lot couldn't make it... I had messages from people asking me to come to their home town, and I randomly suggested a road trip where I come to meet as many people as possible. That random idea has now been executed, and tomorrow (Thursday 27th...

I'm so grateful for Melanie, who came on the show to share her mental health struggles. From her experiences with therapists, medication and diagnosis to letting go of this past this is a really honest episode. I love Melanie's determination, who is now studying to become a counsellor. She's been through a lot, from a tough childhood to her own battles with mental health, but through it all she's come out of the other side with advice for all. Sit back, take this in, and don't forget it's...

Todays been overwhelming but inspiring, with interviews for Sky News, LBC and the amazing MQ Mental Health. So even though it's late, I wanted to put together this episode to let you know why we should talk about suicide. Why, together... we should stand up to suicide. The statistics that surround suicide need no explanation, with someone taking their own life every 40 seconds and with it being the biggest killer of young people... But what can we do to talk more openly about...

So as some of you know, I recently run the first Speak Your Strength meet up in London. 35 people showed up, and I delivered this presentation you're about to listen too. In it, I talk about the pain after my Dad's suicide and how I struggled to deal with the bereavement that comes with suicide. As you may know yourself, mental health can affect anyone. It doesn't discriminate. And hopefully my vulnerability in this episode can help bring more awareness to mental health and suicide in...

So I was walking home recently, struggling... I was carrying shopping, a parcel, my laptop, and walking up a hill. My mental chatter kept telling me to give up, and it was giving me options to make things easier. But sometimes, we just need to push through. And know that with every step, we get closer to our goal. We get closer to recovery. This lesson was something I wanted to share with you in this quick episode. Use this when things get tough. You've got this! Follow me on Facebook -...

WOW. A few weeks ago I was interviewed for the Life, Are We There Yet? Podcast and I wanted to share it with you today. This interview went to places I've never spoken about before. From how losing my Dad to suicide made me feel, how a 'weird' massage turned into a life changing moment and also what I'm now doing to raise awareness for mental health this episode has it all. This episode takes you on the journey I've been on for the past 9 years. I'd love to hear your thoughts on...

So I've decided to, last minute, arrange a meet up/event for everyone who listens and follows. This event is going to be happening on the 11th August from 1pm to 5pm. This event is all about giving mental health a voice. To help break the stigma, and show you that it's ok not to be ok. I'll be inviting down other mental health advocates, speakers, and you'll hear from others sharing their powerful stories. I'll also be delivering a presentation talking about a moment in my life I've never...

Welcome to another episode of the Speak Your Strength podcast, the podcast where we give sufferers of mental health a platform to share their story. This episode is something I've wanted to do for a while, because when it comes to OCD, there's a lot of misjudgements. Even personally, I didn't really know the extent of OCD until speaking to Logan. Logan is someone who's suffered with mental health for a while, from expressing who he is to dealing with bullying and of course the struggles...

Welcome to another episode of the Speak Your Strength podcast, the podcast where we give sufferers of mental health a platform to share their story. I know, I know... it's been a while since the last episode but I've been struggling with a bit of overwhelm. I've had a lot going on, but a week ago I recorded this amazing interview with John.. John comes from Manchester, and had quite a challenging up bringing. In this interview he talks deeply about how he grew up, but also about his recent...

We need to change our perception around the word 'mental' and also mental health in general. Being classed as mental, and feeling like we are is holding us back from recovering. In this episode I dive into how I felt about being told I had depression. I personally fought against it, doing all I could to not be diagnosed and it worked in my favour. But other guests, when diagnosed have felt clarity, have felt at ease and have started their recovery because now they know why they feel that...

We're back with another episode and another powerful story. This time, I called Ross to talk about the tough times he recently endured. From becoming a Father unexpectedly, to finally connecting with his own Father after 20 years to then losing him suddenly, Ross talks about everything that led to a breakdown. He didn't know how to handle it, he didn't know who to talk too, but he found strength and started talking more openly about how he felt. Now, he's started a business and has been...

So I've been toying with the idea of creating some solo episodes. Just me, my microphone, a cup of coffee and of course my mental health. The aim for the solo episodes is for me to give some insight into how I'm feeling, what I'm doing and more importantly give you some practical advice on how you can help your own mental health. This episode is all about the things I do to help deal with the darker times. The things I do when I'm struggling to deal with my mental health. These are things...

Jacob commented on a video of mine a few months back, and as an active member within my free Facebook group I had to get him on to share his story. At just 22, Jacob has been through a lot already but in my eyes has come out of the other side stronger. From becoming Jacob, not being accepted as transgender, dealing with bullying and then having to cope with his best friend taking his own life, Jacob shares all in this episode. Again, this is what the Speak Your Strength podcast is all...
