This might be a fun listen for people who have read the books, just don't expect a good book synopsis or story insight or laughs.Read full review »

Great podcast- a solid show that keeps in touch with its roots. These three guys put on a laid back podcast that doesn’t disappoint in the beer or the books.

Good listen if you’re a 16 year old stuck in the 2010s. Host with the deeper voice just discovered he has a penis and dominates with bottom tier sex jokes. Wide breadth of books covered and zero insight. I wish they removed Brother Bukkake and maybe the other hosts could muster an actual thought.

I came to listen to “book club” type discussion about Demon. I feel like the hosts did have some valid criticisms of the book. However, one hosts did seem to miss the point a bit regarding the people of this area. Or at least fell into the trap of stereotyping them in ways that was one of the...Read full review »

My friends are morons and I love hanging out with them, especially when they’re throwing back a few cold ones. But they don’t read books. I’m pretty sure most of them don’t even know how to read. That’s where the Drunk Guys come in. Listening to an episode is like hanging out with three friends...Read full review »

You guys are so funny 🤣 I love the Ickabog one I read the book to my child not expecting the gruesomeness it scared her very much so I wish I listened to it before I bought the book I might need you guys later on 🍻

Finally a podcast that feels like real people having a good conversation. These guys got me back into reading.

Interesting concept. A little hard to differentiate who is speaking. Also, should try being more intentional about the beer/opening and introducing it. Ring a little bell or something.

I finished reading Murakami’s ‘Kafka On The Shore’ which lead me to search up podcasts that discussed the book and I found these guys. I like their style and their random beer references thrown in with the discussion. Definitely an interesting take on a Book Club setting. I’m a fan. Greetings...Read full review »

My favourite podcast. The guys are so funny and combine my two favourite things of books and beer. I really admire their commitment to reading of books (and sometimes not very good ones) and their consistency in content. Keep it up fellas!

Can be funny but is strangely condescending and mean spirited at times.

I like books. I like beer. I do not like this podcast… even though I really wanted it to be a good find. While there is some good commentary about the books, it’s hard to get beyond the dudes’ pretentiousness and cringey jokes that inevitably come up in every episode. I gave it a try - lots of...Read full review »

These guys are definitely fun to listen to. They know the books, know some history about book and/or author, and they make this entertaining. I love that they approach it with fun banter and still make each book interesting. Thanks for the hard work!

Three hipsters discuss books they don’t understand while raving about a wheaty wheat pastry stout from a New York area microbrewery, preferably in Brooklyn.

The Drunk Guys Book Club Podcast is a hilarious podcast about books and beer. Pretty much as their title sums up so well. Mike, Nate and Jimmy are incredibly fun to listen to with their wicked sense of humour, sharp wit and memorable pun jokes. Their unpretentious opinions on the books discussed...Read full review »

These fellows hate just about every book--but in the entertainment business breaking things down is always more fun than building them up. The hosts know enough about books and literature to have informed opinions but don't come across as your typical pretentious "book...Read full review »

It is not like other drunk book club podcasts. Instead of reviewing the book after getting drunk they drink as they review so there aren’t many off topic conversations. They also educate the readers on the beers that they drink. They have honest unapologetically opinions which is great. This...Read full review »

I don’t speak for all women, but I found some of their comments to be kind of misogynistic. I know that the defense to this is probably “it was a joke,” but if so, most of the jokes are not very clever or funny (I.e. in high school I liked any girl who wasn’t a fat uggo, etc. etc.). a lot of drinking and topic podcasts i’ve heard in the past don’t stick to the topic enough and get derailed by side conversations too much but this one has such a good balance of little humor pieces and side conversations while still actually analyzing the books

As a books and drinks fan the title alone intrigued me. I love the honest opinions in the drinks/beer review and the way these guys just tell it like it is with each episode. I’m not part of a book club and I never have been BUT if I was going to pick one, it’d be this one! Pardon the hell out of me for thinking this would be about drunk guys discussing books. It’s just the most boring conversations about how to make beer and sours and hops and oh my gosh blow my brains out. Yep, I thought it would be way more entertaining. My bad.

These guys really dig into the books and compare them to other books in the genre. I’ve listened to three episodes so far, and they’re pretty willing to hit books hard on areas where they aren’t so great — they don’t pull any punches!

Listened to their Great Gatsby episode and it was great! One of the most refreshing aspects of this podcast is just how much they are willing to NOT simply comply with the general consensus of a book and criticize as they please - nothing is sacred and they bring up valid points.
