Good production value but pretentious
I gave this podcast a real chance, maybe listened to 6 or 7 episodes but in the end it was just too self-aware/indulgent for me. Less about the host's love of food than about her love of hearing herself talk. At least that's how it struck me. The whole "what's in your pantry" segment where she tells listeners how to construct (occasionally bizarre) meals with on-hand ingredients seems mostly an exercise in trying to sound smart. The production value is good as are the guests. Listening to these wasn't a waste of time but I think there are more authentic programs out there.Read full review »
